PEOPLE CONNECTING TO PEOPLE FOR THE GOOD OF ALL.

ATTENTION MOMMIES!!                                                      DAN RIVER MOMMIES!!

"My name is Kim Carter. I am a stay-at-home mother to one child. I have been part of a great local support group for mothers called TriadMommies.com, which is part of The Mommies Network. The group has been a great success since the site was launched in 2005. I have been an active member of the group since February 2006 and served as a moderator on the message boards coordinating face to face meet-ups, play dates, and other events for moms in my local area. I have also served as Promotions Manager for the organization since March 2007. I am pleased to have been part of the efforts TriadMommies.com has put forth to make a difference in the community. During 2007, the group held several charitable events which allowed us to make contributions to Murphy's Kids, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, 2nd Harvest Food Bank, The Ronald McDonald House, just to name a few. "

The Mommies Network is a grass roots community and was founded by a mother who knew there was a need for other mothers to connect and support one another. Since The Mommies Network was founded in April 2005 by Heather Meininger, the organization has grown by leaps and bounds. The Mommies Network is a 501c(3) non-profit organization and currently operates 82 sites in 26 states. We have over 20,000 active members nationwide.

After much consideration, I chose to pursue the opportunity to start up a group for moms closer to my geographical location. DanRiverMommies.com was launched on Sunday, April 6, 2008 and we currently have 56 members. I am so excited about this endeavor and I want to share it with everyone. I look forward to helping the site grow, help moms make connections, and be able to make a positive difference in the community.
